This Sanskrit term has been chosen to illustrate the spirit of Olivier Poumay’s music. He got the ability to develop his own language when he studied at the conservatory. His compositions tend to poetry and convey a special vision of the world, like "open heart meditations". Pieces like Eveil, Cumulonimbus or La Fagne are kind of music pictures which illustrate landscapes or a state of mind. Other pieces are tributes like Didie and Titi and For my Polo. Influences are varied, from song to contemporary music, ECM aesthetic, classical, traditionnal , tango and jazz.

An unusual meeting happened between lutes and theorbes of Philippe Malfeyt, harmonicas of Olivier Poumay and percussions of Johan De Baedts. The original compositions are timeless and ignore space, the remind often the ECM aesthetic. The instruments converse with emotion and fervour, they never forget to give energy to the audience.

Tout a commencé à la St Patrick 1998, dans un café de Nameche où se terminait un festival. Deny Lefrançois et Olivier se sont enlacés toute la nuit sur les chanson du chanteur-guitariste-contrebassiste-tromboniste... 6ans plus tard, de Galway à Huy en passant par Caen, les témois de ce moment unique s'en souviennent encore.
Ils se sont retrouvés et la magie de leur rencontre est restée intacte. Sous "la Turlette" et "tourne La Manivelle", Deny cache une pile de compositions qui ne demandent qu'à faire surface pour le plaisir de chacun.
